Shamus Barnes has over 26 years in the relocation business. His innovative management style and customer service talents have created a winning combi- nation of performance and true customer satisfaction. Shamus supervises and controls all aspects of furniture relocations, installations and furniture IT liquidations. FITCO, in combination with the full resources of The Advance Group, provides services that include local & long distance moving, delivery and installation, doc- ument management, asset management, and furniture liquidation. Shamus has in-depth knowledge of all operations and capabilities, in addition to an extensive background in planning logistics and maximum utilization of labor. Shamus sets the example for all FITCO employees to strive to keep all projects on time and within budget. Shamus has excellent relationships with The New York City District Council of Carpenters, Laborers Union 79, and USWE – Local 1212 AFL-CIO. He is also an active member of CoreNet Global, IFMA, IABS (Irish American Building Society) and BCA (Building Contractors Association). A dedicated family man with three children, Shamus is also a volunteer for Adaptive Sports Foundation project, which teaches recovering soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
