The Advance Group Acquires Sorensen Moving & Storage and Sorensen Logistics

The Advance Group, New York City’s largest moving, logistics, delivery + installation, tech services and warehousing company is pleased to announce its recent acquisition of Sorensen Moving & Storage and Sorensen Logistics, operating out of Orlando and Melbourne (HQ), Florida.

Sorensen, established in 1956, has passed through three generations of the Sorensen Family. Scott Sorensen took control of the organization in 1977 and has constructed an outstanding organization built on quality values, focused leadership, and excellent customer service. After converting to Mayflower Van Lines and experiencing tremendous growth, Sorensen expanded into the Orlando market in 2013, opening a 150,000 sqft facility with a focus on logistics, commercial moving, installation and FF&E. Occupying over 200,000+ sqft between its facilities, Sorensen Moving & Storage has become one of the most accomplished family-owned moving companies in the industry.

An award-winning Mayflower Transit Agent and respected OMA partner of the south, Sorensen presented the perfect buying opportunity for The Advance Group, which is headquartered in New York. On the residential moving side of the industry, Advance’s household moving brand Molloy Moving & Storage coupled with Sorensen Moving & Storage’s capacity, expertise and quality will result in one of Mayflower Transit’s largest agents and interstate fleets in the van line.

Scott Sorensen is an accomplished, well-networked CEO and will remain onboard as a consultant to the Executive Team at TAG. Chris Sorensen will remain President of the Sorensen brand with a focus on continued growth and strategic relationships.
